特に子供は英語の環境に身を置くだけで、耳に入る言葉をどんどん吸収していきます。
幼い頃から英語を耳に入れることで正確なリスニング力・発音を身に付けることができます。
授業はもちろん、日常会話も英語で話しかけますので自然と英語だけでコミュニケーションが取れるようになり、楽しみながら英語を学ぶことができます。また、フォニックスを取り入れ、聴く力・話す力・読む力・書く力を総合的にバランスよく身につけていきます。
幼児コース
柔軟な耳と心を持つ幼児期は、英語を潜在的に吸収できる時期です。ゲームをしたり、うたを歌ったり、体を動かしながら英語に興味を持たせていきます。
園児コース
全身を使って自分を表現する園児たち。グループでゲームをしたり、うたを歌ったりと楽しい雰囲気の中で、のびのびと英語に触れていきます。
小学生コース
いろんなシチュエーションに合わせた日常会話に触れ、音楽・ロールプレイゲーム・外国文化・アルファベットの認知など、楽しみながら「聞く」「話す」「読む」「書く」をバランスよく養い、総合的な英語力を伸ばしていきます。
中学生コース
英語の表現法、語彙力を強化し、自分のことを豊富な話題で表現できるよう、「話す力」を向上させます。受験・英検用リスニング・二次試験面接もサポートします。
高校生コース
これから必要とされる、自分の意見を積極的に発信する力、将来につながる使える英会話力を身につけていきます。英語を通して、世界を舞台に活躍できるチャンスを広げていきます。
大人コース
日常会話を中心に、旅行・プライベート用、仕事用など、様々なニーズに対応したレッスンを行っていきます。
英検対策オンラインコース
外国人講師が英検で出題される英単語の読み、イディオム、文法などを詳しく教えます。英会話も合わせて受講することでさらに英語力を強化し、アウトプットも積極的に行うレッスンをしています。
（※英検準備コースは日本人講師が担当し、フォニックスを取り入れて短時間で読み書きを習得することができます。）
Shannon's English School emphasizes listening, speaking, reading and writing with the former being our top priority and the latter mostly being done for homework outside of the classroom hours so we can focus on the tools to successful COMMUNICATION. It is in this way that our lessons are different to English Lessons at schools and other places where hardly any spoken English is used in the classroom, mostly reading/writing and grammar.
Here is an outline of what we want our student to achieve in English at each level of development:
Kindergarten Students:
For the small kids and for the mama and baby class we do a lot of songs and games in order to expose the students to English and have a positive and fun experience.
For the Kindergarten students we do a lot of word exercises to build up their vocabulary and lots of phonics to strengthen their listening ability.
Grade 1 and 2 Elementary Class:
We want the students to be able to answer basic English questions and to respond in a timely manner to native speakers without being afraid or shy to do so. It is at this age where we start working on sentence building rather than just words to increase their confidence and speaking ability.

Grade 3 and 4 Elementary Class:
For Grade 3 and 4 students we incorporate more alphabet, word recognition games and challenges so that reading and writing becomes easier and smoother rather than just using spoken English. Once the students have the reading and writing abilities under their belt their level of English will increase exponentially as they will be using all 4 aspects, that being listening, reading, writing and most importantly speaking.
We are trying to get the students to use a wide variety of different words and phrases that they have learnt since they started studying English. The Who am I? game is a classic example of getting the students to think in English to work through the problem solving process when using a different language:

Grade 5 and 6 Elementary Class:
At this age their speaking skills should be at a high enough level to do video presentations. It is in this way, that they will lose their inhibitions and not to be shy to talk in English in the future. It is this shyness that creates the problem and we want to prevent this with our students:
Junior High and High School Classes:
When our students get to Junior High School it is our desire that they use all their skills and words to start to express themselves in English using daily phrases and everyday spoken words in a smooth and timely manner. In order to achieve this we have developed an English Presentation Program whereby the students talk about general and specific subjects and topic such as their hometown, family and friends as well as Japanese culture and customs, all in English of course.
